With 39 million Xbox 360 consoles around the world, with which about a half sign into Xbox Live each month, you could see why Microsoft says that “it starts to feel like a cable network”.

Why Google workers were using IE, especially IE 6, remains a mystery, but it is actually the norm within technology companies for employees to run multiple browsers.

Microsoft wants to be a bigger player in television viewing. With many companies, like Disney, showing interest in the console market; console makers still have a long way to go to replace cable subscriptions, but can still make a big difference in the time spent viewing normal television.
