Microsoft’s profit jumps this quarter

Wall Street expects Microsoft to report profit of 59 cents per share, up from 41 cents, and revenue to rise 7 percent to $17.8 billion, for its fiscal second quarter

Programmers would have a tough job with their developer tools now. Without Windows’ UI and API, the same level of User Interface richness would still need to be achieved.

With signs of the turbulent economy being almost over, Microsoft is set to capitalize on business spending with the new Office coming out later this year.
