Microsoft Discreetly Acquires Startup R2 Studios

Microsoft has recently acquired a start-up home-entertainment technology company called R2 Studios. Seemingly in an effort to improve their Xbox system. The company, id8 Group R2 Studios Inc was working on a new technology associated with distributing and displaying digital media on TVs. Seemingly a new arena for tech giants such as Google and Apple who also both had talks with R2 however hadn't been able to strike a deal. Read the full story here.
