Visual C++ SP1 Gets Updates for Microsoft Foundation Class Library

MFC-based GPU accelerated graphics and new animations will be included for Visual C++ in the Visual Studio SP1 release. Additional updates for Visual C++ include Direct2D for hardware acceleration and Windows Animation Manager to enable rich animation of user interface elements.
