Microsoft offers IIS Express 7.5 Web server for developers


Microsoft began shipping IIS (Internet Information Services) Express 7.5 on Monday. IIS Express 7.5 is a free version of Microsoft's IIS Web server which has been optimized for developers. Microsoft also released their embedded database upgrade and an open source content management tool. IIS Express 7.5 will allow developers to both, develop and test Web applications in a Windows environment by combining IIS 7.5 and basic Web server capabilities.
