Bing and Yahoo, can make a profit for Microsoft

Having lost more than $5 billion over the past 4 years trying to build an online business, Microsoft’s main goal is to share gain in the search marketplace.

If the deal that makes Bing the underlying search engine for Yahoo gets approved, Microsoft will then control almost 30% of the search market

“There’s no question we intend to make a profit,” said Yusuf Mehdi, senior vice president of Microsoft’s online audience business
