On Patch Tuesday, April 13, Microsoft will drop support for Vista RTM, and will not provide security updates for Vista RTM. Users are encouraged to upgrade to Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1), or preferably, Vista SP2.
All support, including all security patches, for the 10 year old Windows 2000 will be retired July 13th
On the same date which marks the end of all support for Windows 2000, Windows XP's SP 2 will also stop receiving support. Users are encouraged to either upgrade to Service Pack 3 or Windows 7.
Windows XP Service Pack 2's and Windows 2000's support expires in 5 months, while Vista RTM ( release To Manufacturing ) support ends in 2 months
