SwingStarter is a sample Java application, including source code and runnable files, derived from an internally developed framework based on Swing. It is intended as a vehicle for those wanting to learn how to build Swing-based Java applications.

SwingStarter includes examples of commonly needed features such as a splash screen, tips system, popup menus, threads, dynamic stock price updates over the internet displayed in Swing tables, and the ability to play QuickTime content such as movies and audio files (including MP3 if QuickTime 4 is installed).

SwingStarter is for learning purposes only and is not a commercial product. Download it only if you agree with the license agreement.
