Splitting up a page on a report

I have created a simple cross tab report table and placed it in the report footer.

The cross tab has few only has a few columns accross, but many rows so that the report ends up being 40 pages long.

Because it is not a very wide cross-tab report, I would like to output the cross tab by splitting the page vertically down the centre and forcing the crosstab to output on both sides of the page. Effectivly reducing the page count to 20.

Does anyone know how i would go about doing this? Any help is appreciated.
