how to get file's properties

I am new to VB. I really need help here

I need generate a report for the files properties. including the file Name, DOS attribute, the file owner, the file modified date and time. Does someone know how to get those properties, especially the DOS attribute?

Also, If I want to get better look for the report, what the better to do insteadof writing the infomation into a .txt file line by line?
