Recently i found out that it was legal to take models from the games you own (to some degree its legal anyway)
to do this, a dumper is needed to convert the files on the game into .. its model type which can be viewed.
Then, i found a program which takes the directx geometry from the viwer and makes model in a file .3dr
I was more curious as to how this dumper works.
On the disk i was looking at (kingdomhearts2)
there were a few .ird .irx files, but also an .img , i couldnt get into this .img with a variety of differnet iso softwares.
Could someone please explain or point me into the right direction how a dumper is created? cause so far there are only dumpers for popular games like final fantasy and kingdomhearts.
The dumper was a command promt exe.
Thanks for anyone who reads this and replys, it might even be something many are interested in.
