Menu control and status bar problem..

i am displaying a status bar using the API and works fine.
when i add to my window menu controls from a resource file the status bar disappears..hints??

My car is running fine. After I add a brake fluid my car does not run anymore. . hints?

Well, first: what are menu controls?
Furthermore: mere adding something in resource editor does not change window behavior. You must have change something in the code and that something is a thingy we have to know about.
Again, posting your or sample project illustrating your problem would be the only way to find a solution if you did not already found it.
