Windows 7, new APIs = New Chance ?

yeah, I read a article that we will have a new APIs in next os ( windows 7) So I wonder whether it is a good chance for a new programmer ( like me )

is it right ? Tell me your opinion :)

The first step in beoming a good developer is to get well grounded in the basics. This does not require the use of any specific OS.

As far as Windows 7, there is so little (public) information available, that it would be foolish to comment at this point.
