Career Exploration Essay - Need Interviewie!

So I'm finally in college, going for my computer science so I can jump out into the wonderful world of computer programming.

I'm doing a career exploration essay, and need to interview someone.

I tried calling around to local programming places and everyone refused to be interviewed! "I'm to busy kid, find someone else! *SLAM*".
Are all programmers really that mean? To yell at someone who envies what they do?

I figured I'd look here for all the nice programmers. The way I see it, maybe there's got to be at lease one nice one, right?!

What education did you need?
Are you freelance, or do you work for an steady employer?
What's the average day like?
Do you enjoy your job?
Are you worried about job security?
Do you get benefits?
What's the work environment like (is it tense)?
Is the work satisfying?
What's your salary looking like? Good, bad, ugly?
How many other languages do you know (computer)?
Would you recommend getting into the field?
Anything else you'd like to add to help my essay?

Not all programmers are mean. They are probably busy and don't really wanna entertain cold calls. I don't know about others but for me I also hate to be interrupted by some strangers' phone calls. Emails I wouldn't mind so much, but phone calls can be irritating at times.
