Am I the only person here who thinks that the new MSDN is rubbish?

I'm saying "new" but in fact it's been around for several years now. I've really tried to persevere with it but I just can't find anything any more. With the original MSDN I could type in (say) basic_string members and up would come loads of useful links (the very fiest of which would lead me to the members of class basic_string). I still get loads of links with the new MSDN - but they're all useless - e.g. basic_string members (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Search/en-GB/?query=basic_string%20members&ac=3).

Maybe I'm using it wrongly but it all seemed a lot simpler before.... :(

Did you click the web button?
Starting here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/default.aspx with basic_string members and clicking the magnifying glass (or using enter) give me
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Search/en-US/?query=basic_string%20members&ac=1

That's interesting. My starting point was here:-

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/visualc/default.aspx

which gives a list of very unhelpful matches. And yet if I start here:-

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualc/default.aspx

(which is more or less the same place that you started from) I get meaningful responses. I wonder why there's such a massive difference between the en-gb page and the en-us page?

That's weird enough to cause for a MS feedback.
I tried to find where to do that and think this could be the proper place http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/msdnfeedback/threads/

This is a known issue with MSDN. The non-"us" pages currently have problems. The team is working to resolve this, but for now the best approach is to use the "En-us" pages where possible.

Thanks. I won't report it then, if it's already known about. It's been like this for a long time though - ever since I abandoned the old MSDN (which must be at least 9 months ago).
