ASR 1000 Software Development Manager
It's an exciting time to work at Cisco. In February 2008, Cisco Systems introduced the Cisco ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers, a new line of midrange routers that offer service providers and enterprises industry-leading performance, service capabilities, reliability, and efficiencies in a compact form factor. Cisco seeks a Software Development Manager to lead a team defining, designing and delivering software features for this new product line.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to lead a team tasked with adding new features and functionality to Ciscos next general midrange routing platform, the ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers.
Target Capabilities and Skills:
Experience:
Requires BSCS/EE or equivalent and 8+ years of software development experience with 2+ years in a first level management role.
Experienced in managing embedded software development networking projects.
Experienced in managing the entire software development life cycle including requirement gathering, architecture, design, implementation, testing and deployment of functionality.
Experienced in building out and managing a high performance development team, including: hiring, setting up development environment, release management, technical support, and project management.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to, overseeing the following activates:
Architecture, design and implementation of embedded router software features and components.
Unit testing and integration testing of router software features and components.
Dev-test and customer support including general product and software sustaining.
Collaborate with marketing, cross-functional engineers and engineering managers, test organization and program management.
