Hmmm ... not likely ... and the numbers, well their from Kenya... A well known 419 scammers home ..

It's like it's always said "If it's too good to be true, it's just that" :)
Obviously enough people still take the bait or these attempts had been long gone. I pray everyday for the day when not a single person respond to a spam mail since as long as that's not happened I will continue getting about 50 aday. :(
Some time ago some people here in Sweden took it as their mission to inflict as much expenses as possible on the scammers in order to put them out of "business". They actually were somewhat successful, luring the scammer to travel to distant towns, making long and expensive phone calls and so on. Impressive but of course they were heavily outnumbered by the scammers so their effort didn't result in anything but some amusing stories about it (they published all conversation details and so on).

Oh yeah, there was a guy in the United States, that reversed the scam too.
He told them that he had literally tons of computers and parts, that he would like to donate, but he couldn't pay for shipping. So the scammers agreed to pay for the shipping of tons of computers. The guy ended up sending them junk items, that were heavy like washing machines etc.
hahahahaha
