Are you an experienced (4+ years) software developer who knows PHP, Ruby on Rails, and Java like the back of your hand? Do you know the difference between MySQL InnoDB vs. MyISAM tables? Have you participated in building web applications demanding several thousand pageviews per second?
You might have what it takes to join our team.
We’re looking for someone who can lead our web application development team from the front. You have to be interested and excited about building stuff – no “pure managers” need apply! We build things here, so if all you can do is yell at other people to do it, we don’t have a spot for you.
You wil need to have experience with Ajax, web 2.0 technologies, and how to build them. You should know C/C++ because any good programmer does, but it’s ok if most of your recent experience is in PHP/Ruby/etc.. You should know many open source products and how they can help you build solutions for people — we believe strongly in reuse & leveraging open source technologies to speed up development. For example, you had better know what these are: memcached, nginx, and monit.
