Hi,

I want to write a stock analyze program. Does anybody know how to get the daily/history figures of the main funds that make up the indexes ? Preferably all the big markets .. America, Europe, Asia. . etc.

O. .yeah .. I mean for free. It's just a silly idea I have which is not worth paying some database fee for.

I wrote an automated analysis and trading system using Tradestation as an interface. Getting free info that is downloadable and textual is difficult. Most of these companies know that their systems will be hit hard if they offer the data in a textual format (i.e. embedded in the html etc). So the data is usually drawn from the database in the form of jpegs or what have you. I would check yahoo finance, though. Last time I was there I think they might have had something you can parse.
