I have a Windows CD, but I have lost the key/serial number for it. Does anyone know how I might get a key? An old friend of mine installed it on my old computer, but I am not sure how he did it. All I know is that he likely knows a good website that has a keygen or something :S

There are programs, such as Belarc Advisor, which can reveal your product key. However, if you friend used a key generator, you are running an illegal installation of Windows. Retrieving this product key is useless to you.

If you registered Windows, you can contact Microsoft for your product key. They will have you run Windows Genuine.
