At work we use Crystal Reports 8 to create reports.

I was given a new computer and quickly found that some reports now give errors (like saying there is a missing ")" when they are all there), and other reports run but return incorrect data.

Any advice on how to correct the problem?

I remember having a similar issue. You might try selecting the properties of your crw32.exe file then on the Compatibility tab select the box that sez "run this program in compatibility mode for" and choose a windows version that it used to work with. You may have to experiment a bit depending on what windows version you now run.

Thank you for the response. I tried your suggestion, but there was no difference. I thought there may not be since there is one not-as-new-as-the-new-computers-but-newer-than-the-old computer using the same operating system as the new computers, and it runs the reports just fine.

I compared the ODBC drivers on that computer to mine, and found them all to be the same except for the drivers for Visual FoxPro. My version is 1.00.02.00 and hers is 6.01.xxxx.01 (I don't remember the x's). I don't know if that has anything to do with ANYTHING, but I'm at a loss.

Thank you.
