So far, our project has made significant progress with our art and design, but we need an experienced programmer to lead the programming team. We are looking for somebody to lead a team of programmers over the internet and manage the programming side of the game's development.

Our Team Name:
Rising Sun

Some information on Rising Tide:

Rising Tide will be an RPG similar to Windwaker in gameplay(puzzles, battle system, and Monsters). This project aims to add many new concepts to gameplay, such as a class system with 5 base jobs and 2 branching jobs from this. There will be 16 dungeons to explore, each having it's own theme, monsters, and puzzles. They are planned to be very large and offer days of gameplay. The battle system we have planned may be one of the most interactive yet. The battle system will have a variety of skills each with different effects(double jumps, AOEs, DOTs, and a range of projectiles). The actual game world will be very expansive, with not only massive continents to explore, but also a moon and mysterious unknown realms. Players will be immersed in a world that is unique and different, a world that is charming and dangerous. The storyline is centered around a divinity being possessed by a monster.

What we are looking for in a lead programmer:

-Somebody that is a professional programmer and has worked for a well know company before
-Somebody that has managed a project before
-an area of expertise, such as 3d programming, AI, or scripting.
-Level design experience
-Artistic correlation(ability to communicate with artists)
-Significant experience with OpenGL

So far our team has leaned toward writing our own game engine for Rising Tide, but we are open to any information or suggestions regarding engines(we have not made a final decision on this yet, and we need more input from experienced programmers). Artistic correlation is a must, since most of our team thus far is comprised of animators and designers. We plan on making a trailer for the game as well as a playable demo, and then sending these to publishers. Once we find a publisher, we will be able to fund the project up to completion.

Payment/Compensation:

Payment can be discussed before you join our dev team. We will divide profits based on the systems completed(ex: battle engine = 5% of profits). We can't offer any money before the game's completion however. Profits made from selling the game will be distributed among all developers, ad will be based on amount of work and quality of work. This is the system of payment we have figured so far. The game is estimated to be released in 2010-2011. This is due to Rising Tide being a rather large and involved project.

Summary:
Target audience: all ages/PC users(possibly a console)
Programming language: C++
Experience level: Needs to have had a job in the field
Payment: based on work and experience; goes by (% of profit)
