New window vs new tab

Almost every browser these days have tabs. Is it possible to control whether a new page opens in a new window or a new tab? If I want my webpage to open certain links in new windows and certain others in new tabs, it is possible?

Unfortunately there is not. You can download browser extensions that can control tabs, but then every user who visits your site would need that.
