Crystal 9 parameter formula sort

I have a report that uses a formula to calculate a 'difference' value. Is it possible to sort by that 'difference' formula and also have that sort option placed in the parameter field?

Right now the parameter field allows me to sort by 'account number' or 'trade date' which are both found in the tables. I would like to option to sometimes sort by the difference formula.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but if you create a group using that difference formula, and place the report data within that group, it might work. Group sorts take precedence over general sorts.

I'm pretty new to this so I might not have explained it very well. Attachments are below.

I would like to sort the difference value, which is formula driven. Also, how would I get the formula into a group as you mentioned above?

I would also like the option to have this sort as an option in the Parameter Field under the Field Explorer.
