Hello All,

I want to know how to get the hardware id of the finger print that we use during log on to Windows desktop. I am working on a module whose interface requires HID as an in param and then it will return SPC.

As I see hardware id is "A unique string derived from a fingerprint of an individual computer. The HID is a unique identifier for the computer from which it is derived."

I want to know how can I get this HID programmatically in my module. Any pointers in this regard would be helpful.

thankx & rgds,
Chandra.

In what language are you attempting this? I don't know much about low-level programming, but maybe we can get this into a forum where someone would.

Hello,

I am looking for any of the following,

VB scripts, C++ language, WMI scripts, or any windows programming language.

You can suggest me a good forum for this question.

I tried techsupport guy, windows forum and annoyances forum but no solution yet.

Please do the needful.

thankx & rgds,
Chandra.

Well, with that sort of a range, we can't really put it into a specific language's forum. However, this forum is better.

I don't think you are getting / will get many replies because of how difficult this would be to accomplish.
