HI All, I believe i can write my query in this forum.

I bought a new logitech speaker for my windows xp system. The logitch comes with two speakers, one speaker connects to the power and a wire to connect to the other speaker. The speaker no two wires to the computer and it has headphone connection and volume control. If i plug in the headphone, i can hear the music. But when i want to listen from the speaker , I can hear a faint sound only from speaker no 1. I checked the speaker properties, it says everything is working fine. Any suggestion?

thanks

I think you may be confused as to the configuration. Usually the powered speaker plugs into the sound card. Then the second speaker (usually the right) plugs into the powered speaker.

Since you are hearing a faint noise, that would support my theory because your sound card probably requires powered speakers. Since the non-powered one is plugged in, that would account for the faint noise.

I rechecked it. Speaker one plugsinto the power. Speaker two into the computer and speaker1 and 2 are connected. In speaker mode without headphone, speaker1 faint noise.

Should i install some software?

if the sound from the headphones is fine, and from the speakers not so good, maybe the speakers are simply broken. try turning the volume OFF and then plugging in the speakers.
