Software Engineer - Mid-Level or Senior-Level
WF, WPF, Microsoft Foundation Class, MFC, C#, C, C++, .NET, Direct X, OpenGL

HOURS: 8-5 - ESTIMATED 22 WEEK CONTRACT

0% TRAVEL REQUIRED

The Software Engineering team in the Visual Computing Group (VCG) is looking for an experienced Engineer to help implement a Configuration Application for next generation graphics hardware. In this position, you will be:

• Responsible for the design and implementation of the Configuration Application.
• Interacting with other Engineers.
• Writing Design documents.
• Writing code using C#, C, and C++ programming languages.

Requirements:

Required Skills for this Software Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior-Level) position include the following:

1. Programming experience in WF and WPF
2. More than two (2) years of Programming experience for Mid-Level, or 5 (five) years of Programming experience for Senior-Level, in:
o Windows* Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC)
o C#
o C and/or C++
o .NET*
3. Experience in writing Hardware Configuration applications
4. Graphic Development experience (i.e. Direct X* and OpenGL) for Senior-Level
5. Strong Programming knowledge
6. Experience in:
o The various layers of the Windows Operating System
o Application/Driver Interface definition
o Interaction with other Senior Engineers
7. Strong communication skills, especially written communication
8. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
9. Understanding of and experience with Software Engineering practices and processes
10. Ability to estimate efforts accurately and produce deliverables within that estimate
11. Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
12. Solid problem and/or conflict resolution skills
13. Product Development experience with a good track record for delivering quality product on time, as well as a "can do" attitude
14. Ability to work productively, effectively, and independently with the available resources
