Hello,
I need to develop a component to retrieve messages from the exchange and archive it. I need to fetch the messages from the archive (after journaling) and probably to also intercept messages before they are delivered to the respective inbox - in 2 different scenarios.
I plan to write a spooler hook for this, but MSDN suggests something like this -
The MAPI spooler receives the message if:
The message store provider and transport provider are not tightly coupled.
The message requires preprocessing.
The tightly coupled message store and transport cannot handle all of the recipients to whom the message is addressed.
I would like to understand whether Exchange 2003/ 2005 fall into this criteria. Since I am a newbie here, any help would greatly be appreciated.
