Put your creativity to work in this JAVA Programmer / Software Developer position in Southern Delaware. Your goal is to develop a project management software for a leading, diversified residential and commercial real estate group in Rehoboth Beach. We are searching for a person who has the ability to take a concept and expand upon it. Duties include:
• Create and design the code for an application program using current software and project team specifications.
• Update design documents in accordance with implementation changes agreed to by the team during construction phase.
• Support software and team during start up phase and usage of new program.
• Communicate and document status to project leadership.
• Work with IT and business test groups to support quality and acceptance tests.
Additionally, as the JAVA Programmer / Software Developer, you may be assigned non-project or cross-project roles. These possible roles include support of their IT groups, cross-project oversight and development tool support. If you are detail oriented, a good communicator and a team player, read on.
Qualified candidates will have:
• 3 to 4 years Java experience, 5 years programming experience. Net beans is a plus.
• Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology preferred, although will consider equivalent work experience.
• Familiar with a relational database (such as Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL, etc.) and JDBC.
• Web Development a plus.
• Solid interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
• Exceptional problem solving abilities.
• Excellent time management skills and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects.
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical people.
