Hi Firends,

Our server working in Windows 2000 operating system when i tried to install SQL Server 2005, the installation program thrown an error message mentioned that in order to install SQL Server 2005 you have to install service pack which has been supported new installation service. After two three attempt i gave up that venture.

Now i think about windows 2003, i just want to know from yu people that there is any known compatibility issue in installing SQL Server 2005 in windows 2003.

Thanks & regrads

As I'm sure you know, there are many versions of SQL Server 2005. Which version do you have?

There is no reason why it should not run on Windows Server 2003. Do you have SP4 for your Windows Server 2000 installation?
