hide supress sub reports

hi there I m trying to hide/supress sub reports that do not conatin any data.
I am working with crystal report 8.0.1.0 . After all my efforts the subreport does not print but leaves a blank page and I am trying to avoid that


What i have done so far
In the main report I selected
under file ->options - > reporting tab - > "suppress printiting if no records "

under file -> report options-> "suppress printiting if no records "

in the detail section where I placed the sub report, I checked the
"suppress blank section"


In the sub report
under file -> report options-> "suppress printiting if no records "

under fomart section I checked the
"suppress blank section" for everything in the sub report

What do i have to do so that it does not print blank pages ? Please help
