I've been coding as a hobbie for quite a few years now, little tidbits here and there. I got a job at a large software company as a first lavel support tech. My boss asked me to help him with some internal tools for the support team, I did it. After that he was asking me for more and more, but not offering me more money, or change in job title. I put out my resume, and sure enough, I got an interview.
Few weeks later and here I am working for this small software company. I've been coding harder than ever, and learning tons. Its fun, but on the other hand, I no longer feel like coding when I come home, whereas before, I'd start working on personal projects first thing. I hope this isn't going to be permanent.
Has anyone else experienced this? What was your long term result?
