General Summary:
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business processes, business systems, user needs, and industry trends to create requirements, functional design specifications, and other analytical deliverables for eCommerce initiatives and projects.
Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:
Accountable for providing leadership and independent initiatives in facilitating and conducting information gathering, structured documentation and presentation of findings.
Gathers, documents, and evaluates proposed business requirements, using analytical skills to identify potential business and/or technology issues.
Conducts research, design, testing and documentation of processes/systems for the development and maintenance of eCommerce projects and solutions.
Works directly with clients at all levels within the organization and with outside parties to identify operational business requirements with sufficient detail and clarity to allow eCommerce solution development.
Supports project deliverables, analyzing detailed descriptions of user needs, systems functionality, and/or steps required to develop web-based solutions, taking into account best-practice methods and alternatives, conducting research and related fact-finding exercises as needed, consulting with internal or external clients, subject matter experts, vendors, industry leaders, etc.
Plays a key role on the project team, acting as a business expert, able to create innovative and efficient design solutions to business problems and use-cases, using available technology and resources.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
Moderate experience (usually 4-6 years) in information systems, software technology and/or eCommerce with progressively more complex responsibilities and accountabilities.
Some experience in analysis, documentation, and presentation tools required.
Strong skills in critical thinking and analysis, verbal and written communications, meeting facilitation, and interpersonal interactions (e.g., partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.)
Understanding of health care business and delivery processes preferred.
Experience in Web Development or eBusiness projects a plus.
Experience in working on virtual teams a plus
Some travel required.
