Sr. Business Consultant – Moon Township, PA
This position entails leading project initiatives for the Provider Applications department’s Development and Support team. This team is responsible for all application development and on-going maintenance activities related to the Provider Database (CPD). Key projects the team is focusing on include;
The integration of the CPD with other applications
The outsourcing of Credentialing letters to ABF for print/mail services
Publication of data access services.
This position presents opportunities to lead as well as contribute to the development and support of the Provider Database, which is the central repository for all of our client's contracted Providers.
Performs in an expert consultative style in a variety of different analytical roles depending on the project.
Works directly with clients at all levels within the organization and with outside parties to identify operational business requirements with sufficient detail and clarity to allow IT solution proposal development.
Accountable for providing leadership and independent initiatives in facilitating and conducting information gathering, structured documentation and presentation of findings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
Substantial experience (usually 8+ years) in full life-cycle information systems development or implementation with progressively more complex responsibilities and accountabilities in a large mainframe or client server environment preferred.
Demonstrated excellence in analysis, documentation, and presentation tools required.
Excellent skills in critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (e.g., partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.).
Extensive knowledge of health care business and care delivery processes preferred.
Knowledge of n-tier client/server and relational database development a plus.
