We are seeking a Java Developer with strong Java, J2EE development experience and solid SQL and database skills. The candidate will work with project managers and business to analyze the requirements and design / develop business solutions. The candidate must have full software development life cycle experience with business critical applications. The candidate must be willing to learn different technologies and develop and maintain new as well as existing applications.

In addition to hands on development the person will be responsible for developing and documenting the technical design. The person will work with project managers on technical analysis, drive technology evaluation, and provide technical guidance throughout the applications development life cycle.

Required: 5 - 7 years of hands-on development and design experience

* Experience Developing web applications using J2EE, Servlets, JSP, JSF, JavaScript, and DHTML
* Experience with Websphere and other Java Web/J2EE Containers (Tomcat and JBOSS).
* Experience with one or more of Java/J2ee Frameworks, such as Struts, Tapestry, or Spring.
* Expert level knowledge of XML, XSL, XPath, and XML Schema.
* Excellent knowledge of SQL and applications development experience with Oracle or SQL Server including stored procedures.
* Experience with Web Services Technologies (SOAP, WSDL, UDDI)
* Strong data modeling and design skills.
* Object oriented analysis and design with working knowledge of UML.
* Excellent people and communications skills.
* Experience writing technical specifications and design documents.
* Ability to balance new development activities with support of exiting production application.


Pluses:

* Experience with Messaging / JMS is a plus but not required.
* Experience with EJBs, Hibernate is a plus but not required.
* Experience with and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Commercial or Open Source ESB is a plus but not required.
* Experience with XQuery is a plus but not required.
* Experience with .Net 2.0, ASP.Net, C#, VBScript, and Perl is a plus, but, not required.
* Experience with other web services protocols (policy, messaging, security, transactions, choreography, and management) is a plus, but, not required.
* Experience with the publishing world and legal domain.
