softice debugging issue

I'm having a peculiar issue while debugging applications with softice. When I use the symbol loader to load all symbols and source into softice things get on to softice perfectly but when the app launches from within loader32.exe, it does not pop up softice. But I'm able to use softice via ctrl+d keystroke and able to set breakpoints. It doesn't work only with loader32. Because of this i'm not able to debug apps with softice. I'm using winxp sp2 DriverSuite 2.7. Can someone pls tell me what could be the issue here.

I have the same setup as of gorak and here is the problem which i am seeing.

1. I am trying to port new driver to my software . While loading driver (starting windows) softice is catching the crash point (blue scrreen). So, i am able to locate the crash point.
2. I have fixed the crash point in my driver.
3. Now the driver is up (WindowsXP is up)
4. If i press ctrl+D, i could see softice degub window in Windows.
5. My driver does some bad things causing windows to crash. Windows output is bluescreen. But, Softice is not catching the crash point. I can only see blue screen.

Can any one help me with this.
System Info: Windows XP Professional version 2002, Service pack 2
Intel Pentium Processor 2.00GHz 1.99 GHz, 512MB RAM
SoftIce:Compuware SoftICE Release 2.7
