Greetings gurus,
I'v been working on the ant colony optimization technique, the 'Ant System' i'v applied it to the travelling salesperson problem. The ants tend to stagnate their solutions after a particular number of iterations. Increasing the varying the alpha, beta and evaporation factors does not improve my results either...
Any reasons that can possibly explain why stagnation occurs??
