Contract Technical Recruiter
Must have solid, recent experience with IT/Engineering recruiting.
Basic Function:
This position reports to the Director of Recruiting and works closely with the HR Generalist and the assigned client groups to source and place talent in technical positions. The position is responsible for leading the recruiting process for openings in a multi-location organization (primarily NY) . Responsibilities include candidate sourcing, screening,
interviewing and negotiation. This position requires considerable skill in candidate sourcing and interviewing techniques, as well as knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws regarding employment practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Partner with the IT client group and the HR Generalist to develop, implement and execute recruiting strategies to achieve required staffing levels and support the Company's strategic direction and growth objectives. Responsible for all aspects of the recruitment and selection process for assigned client groups, including sourcing candidates, interviewing, and negotiating and closing the hire. Defines position requirements, job competencies and candidate profiles in collaboration with the hiring manager. Creatively sources candidates from a variety of sourcing channels. Screens, interviews and recruits job applicants to fill technical job openings. Coordinates interview scheduling and collects candidate feedback from hiring managers. Assists hiring managers in assessing candidates. Prepares, negotiates and extends offers to candidates.
Bachelor's degree (must)
5 years of full life cycle recruiting experience background should include experience working as an IT recruiter in a corporate environment.
Experience recruiting and hiring entry level to senior level IT employees a must
Ability to handle 20 openings with tight deadlines.
Ability to organize and prioritize work; attention to detail.
Ability to interact, influence and negotiate with a variety of internal clients and external candidates.
Effective consulting, communication and analytical skills. VERY strong internal client focus.
Ability to quickly grasp business needs and strategic direction.
Experience sourcing talent from a variety of channels (Internet sourcing/advertising, applicant databases and tracking systems, direct sourcing of passive candidates, trade journals, employee referrals, job fairs, open houses and outplacement firms)
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to successfully navigate in a matrixed environment
