Supply Chain Manager
Job Summary:
Drive corporate supply chain initiatives at the site giving strong direction to the plant purchasing, scheduling and associated functions including warehousing and logistics/shipping.
Performance
Contribution to the achievement of plant and regional supply chain KPI's
(Key Measurement Performance Indicators) including Material
Cost Index, and Net Working Capital improvements. Continuous improvement on the various methods of analyses related to material loss/usage, inventory velocity and accuracy and timely development of appropriate corrective actions.
Essential Functions:
Manage all aspects of supply chain initiatives. This includes optimizing inventory levels (raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and MROSS), managing/continuously improving the scheduling of manufacturing processes, interacting with Master Production Scheduling, Customer Service, and Purchasing at the Corporate level. This position provides essential support for the Lean Manufacturing improvement initiatives of reduced cycle time, improved quality and optimum asset utilization.
Supplementary
Participate in the Global Supply Chain organization meetings, initiatives and processes. Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Training/Skills
Strong leadership capabilities with a results oriented track record- emphasis on negotiation skills, closing issues and achieving targets.
Knowledge of supply chain management and processes required. Verbal and written communication along with collaborative management skills is a must.
Recommended
Personal Computers/databases, Six Sigma, Total Quality, ISO 9000, BAAN
Training:
Triton ERP systems.
Prerequisites:
B.S. degree in Engineering or Business or 10-15 years applicable experience of which three to five years exp in a manufacturing environment; preferably cross training in Operations and Supply Chain functions. APICS or similar certification desirable.
This position will report to the Director of Operations.
