The qualified candidate would be an experienced business application developer with a thorough knowledge of Visual Basic and .NET and Web development in a team environment. Job includes developing new Web-based business applications and upgrading existing applications. You must be a productive member of the team from day one. Solid database experience is required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Development, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the software applications written in various languages
Support existing applications
Support business units by providing data and data analysis
Superior Performance Requirements:
Be able to develop, troubleshoot, and support systems, utilizing in the necessary languages, implementing the required business functionality with minimal errors
Be able to take business requirements and design the necessary technical solution
Be able to work with users to gather and generate systems and business requirements
Be able to lead a group of business representatives through the process of designing system and business functionality
Be able to adapt to change and projects that are not clearly defined
Be able to aid in defining/redefining business process flows
Core Competencies:
Visual Basic 6.0, ASP, HTML, DHTML VB.NET, ASP.NET
MS SQL Server 2000
ActiveX, VB Script, JavaScript
ADO, COM, MTS, ADO.NET
SQL Server and TSQL
Visual C# and Access are a plus
Networking and IP experience in an NT environment a plus
XP experience, MS Office
Experience working with out-sourced development a plus
Behavioral Characteristics:
Ability to effectively interact with users at all levels
Solid communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
Required Experience:
Minimum 4 years development experience with 2 years in .NET development
Telecommunications experience is a plus
