Description: Location: Yonkers, NY
The Senior Java Developer will have the following primary responsibilities:
• Develop, implement and test Java modules and components for customer facing websites using standard software development practices
• Develop and implement key modules and components
• Determine implementation/execution approaches
• Work with developers, DB administrators, network and QA teams to design and develop software solutions
• Support existing Java based applications
• Participate in the effort currently underway, to implement the new application environment for CU’s web products
Candidates for this position must have:
• At least of 5 years of web development in e-commerce enabled environment using 3-tier architectures, Java/UNIX and open source software
• Spring framework, Resin or similar experience a plus
• Blue Martini, BEA WebLogic or similar experience a plus
• Experience in payment processing integration into the e-commerce environments using major payment processors and gateways
• Experience in large-scale system design and implementation
• Ability to solve complex technical problems and effectively communicate solutions to system architects, peers and management
• Experience with high volume, high-availability applications and systems
• Proven track record in developing high quality applications
Prefer candidates with:
• Masters degree in Computer Science
• Experience with customer-facing applications
• Knowledge of subscription management or direct to consumer e-commerce systems
• Knowledge of on-line marketing concepts and systems
