Senior Software Engineer/Application Architect
Responsibilities:
· Technical lead for requirements elaboration, design and implementation and delivery of corporate portal applications.
· Ability to demonstrate relationship of technology to business value in the context of project work.
· Design application architecture using appropriate frameworks to guide major decisions and being able formally communicate and defend strategy underlying choices.
· Representative for important technology factors impacting to functional and user experience design.
· Assess complexity and risk, producing strategies and plans for mitigating risks.
· Manage a small team through planning, design and implementation and delivery.
Requirements:
· Experience delivering applications with WebSphere Portal.
· Java/J2EE Architecture and implementation experience.
· 5-7 years experience delivering multi-tier applications.
· Excellent consulting & communication skills.
· Object Oriented Design experience.
· Relational Data Design experience.
· Ability to collaborate with team members.
· Experience using open source frameworks as appropriate.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Plus:
· Familiarity with content management systems and their integration into portal solutions.
· Experience with ERP systems integration, especially with PeopleSoft.
· Familiarity with HR Concepts and Processes especially ESS and MSS.
· Masters degree in Computer Science.
· Sun Certified Java Programmer, Sun Certified Web Component Developer, Sun Certified Enterprise Architect.
Location: Morristown, New Jersey (relocation assistance possible)
Travel - Approximately 25% (to client sites, majority of work done in LDS office)
