hello,
im posting this on behalf of my school which has a very complex radio station, computer controlled and extremely buggy.... there is one central computer which has a soundcard which acts as three (one for each data stream so the computer can act as three different audio players), and a custom built serial control so that when you press on the control board "Comp 1" or "Comp 2" the audio assigned to it will be played... the program we are using now, was written by another volinteer who was arrested and convicted on child molestation charges, so the thought of help from him is out of the question...
we are trying to design a new interface for the computer, and because the C# program at our school was very buggy, we would like a VB6 App put in place, we are looking for someone to convert some of the C# source we have now (not the interface, but the soundcard and comm port controller fuctions) into Visual Basic 6 so the VB students can design an interface around it.. unfortunately, the only person who knew any C# retired long ago, so im here, looking for persons willing to help a highschool in desperate need, we cannot pay for any work, but you will get a great ammount of self satisfaction from the job :)
below is the full source for the program we are running now, remember, all we need is the Comm Control and the ability to play throught the 3 soundcards, all of which are shown within the code provided, and of course, an example of how to use it would be VERY helpful...
