Position Summary:
The Deployment - Continuing Engineer is a position located in Mount Laurel , NJ and will be responsible for providing Tier 4 technical and troubleshooting support for Real Time Billing solutions to customers. This position will report to the Deployment Customer Engineering Director at client’s Real-Time-Billing Division in Mount Laurel, NJ. The Deployment continuing engineer may be work from the local facilities or may be assigned on-site to a specific customer location from time to time.
Essential Functions:
1. Be the expert in the customer’s Real-Time Billing environment.
2. Provide ongoing support to the customer billing operation (provisioning of new campaigns, configurations etc.)
3. Participate in customer integration /deployment activities of new releases. Perform Testing on site as needed as well as Internal Acceptance Tests and Customer Acceptances Tests
4. Troubleshoot system problems and resolve in timely fashion. Document Root Cause Analysis and ensure timely closure of trouble tickets
5. Participate as part of the integration team that bring deployment and product/technical knowledge.
6. Lead new System and S/W deployment.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, mathematics or other technical discipline or 5 years equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Advanced degree preferred.
2. 5-10 years related engineering experience in telephony and/or computer industry.
3. Experience in the Telecom and specifically telecom Business, Billing and IT environment (networking and application).
4. Experience supporting customer billing operation (provisioning of new campaigns, configurations etc.)
5. Excellent ability to debug S/W problems
6. Excellent High Level system wide view.
7. Requiered S/W experience in:
? Oracle Database applications 8.1.7 and higher.
? Unix scripting language/ Perl
? C++, Java, .NET. Applications
8. Requiered Telecommunication expertise.
? Signaling SS7/IP networks
? GSM and CDMA2000 networks.
? 2.5/3G experience: CAMEL2/3 protocols.
? Data networks: WAP/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS.
9. Excellent communication abilities in customer environment.
10. Willing to travel across Russia, CIS, Europe and abroad
11. Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Working Conditions
? Must be willing to work many hours as needed to meet project and customer needs
? Must be able to Travel to customer sites
