Our client, a leading provider of interactive content worldwide, is seeking a Software Engineer in Cambridge, Mass
Our client is looking for a talented Software Engineer to support their Central Operations Team, creating tools for automation, monitoring, and process control. By building and integrating the best tools, they strive to eliminate the problems they know about, to uncover the problems they don't, and to continually improve their ability to provide top-notch support. They work with systems that are at the heart of all our client's websites, serving millions of users. They work with numerous groups within the enterprise to find opportunities to simplify and improve the tasks of monitoring and administering our websites and systems.
Passion for problem solving and process improvement. Excellent knowledge of Perl or Python. Proficiency in SQL and Java. Experience with monitoring systems such as Nagios, Sitescope, etc. Ability to build a database-backed web site. Good communications skills, customer focus, and comfort with customer contact. Proven ability to work as part of a team. Experience with system administration or software operations. Bachelor of Science degree in a computer-related field, or equivalent. 2+ years programming on a UNIX/Linux platform.
