implementation of AJAX

Hi,
I know that to refresh a portion of a web page without refreshing the whole page is where AJAX(asyncronous Javascript and XML) is used.
But plz provide me some more details of implemenation.I mean ,where AJAX is used?

All over the place. It was originally used in IE5 under the term Remote Scripting, then was added to Mozilla in a later release. Google brought it to the forefront with Google Suggest / etc.

As for implementations, there are many based on language. It all depends on how you want to do it. Easiest thing to do is search for your language of choice (PHP, Ruby, C#, perl, etc.) and AJAX....
