Redirection of URL...

I am silent member of this group..

I have one problem.
Suppose i put some text or url in addressbar of browser and that page not find or that url is invalid so it's directly goes to the searchenging...
how this direction done...

please tell me the solution..
i m very confused about this...please help me..or mail me

There's two levels of what you're referring to:

1) Browser - If you put in a site that it can't find / access / etc, then the browser can try to redirect you to a search engine for it.

2) Website - If you can make a connection to the site (ie, in http://address/page?arguments - the address is correct but the page / arguments are not) you can set custom error handlers to redirect to a given page.

hei, man, your web browser might be change by some 3rd part programs, they want the IE or MAZILLA to load their searching web page by their searching server when you can find the page you want. thay can gain some money.
