I am restoring database from backup files which I took from my server PC. I have installed windows server on my own PC also. but when I am trying to restore databases I am finding different types of errors for different databases.
like
when I am trying to restore 'master' database, I found an error saying
'RESTORE DATABASE must be used in single user mode when trying to restore the master database.'
when I am trying to restore 'model' database I found
'the backup of the system database on the device d:\unzipped\model can not be restored because it was created by a different version of server(134219768) than this server(134217922)'
I am not able to understand this error. while an other database (which was created manually on the sql server) was restored successfully.
why?
one more thing, when I am trying to restore another user database it is showing an error 'insufficient space' while the size of the database is 1.1 gb and I have 7.8 gb free space on my disk.
PLease help me urgently, I am waiting.
thanks in advance.
