Hello everybody,
I am in interested in learning neural networks. I have no background in learning such a thing.
Please could you all suggest some book to begin with.
Thanks

Neural network and its application - Addison-Wesley.
I found some articles on backpropation network at Code Project very useful.

I bought two books about a year ago and started with both, but then lost interest. The first is Haykin - 'Neural Networks, A comprehensive foundation' and the second is Bishop - 'Neural Networks for Pattern Recognition'. I didn't like the first one, since it was kind of vague, propably due to the fact that it tries to deal with a broad range of subjects in a general way (or maybe just because it didn't fit my prior knowledge well). It does contain a lot of information, but I wonder if it is of any value for someone reasonably new to the field. The second book I liked a lot better. I found it to be much more concrete and just easier to read.
I didn't get very far in either book, though. After a couple of chapters here and there I lost interest, since I had nothing to apply the material to, next to the books.

I found the book An Introduction To Neural Networks by Kevin Gurney to be good.
