Hello.
I was doing some image scaling, and i was using box filter and some other ones to scale, but i was wondering what are some algorithms that give u high qaluity scaling of an image?
I checked stuff out such as box filter, billinear filters, gaussian, blackman filters and some other ones.
I just want an opinion on what are the best ones are to give you highest quality of minification and magnification of images.
Thx

It depends on whether youre downscaling or upscaling, at the type of image (photo, lineart/pixelart texture) and purpose (for printing, for viewing, for mipmap generation) .. good general-purpose algo is Lanczos (slow) or bicubic (faster), but for upscaling you'll have to use some edge-adaptive algo. Usually it is best to stick with bicubic unless you know that other algo will give better results.
